[Rynn]

Valene rolled her eyes. "Greeeat..." She slung the cloak over Aldan so his wings were covered. "Lets go find an inn in the village."

[Jak]

"Hey! I warned him, okay!" Leon shot back "it's not easy playing the crazy, but it's all I can do to keep people from noticing my eyes! They see I'm crazy, then just think my eyes reflect that!"

[Rynn]

"What's so important about your..." Valene's voice trailed off when she saw Leon's eyes. They looked like serpent eyes, or... "Dragon eyes. You... have dragon eyes."

[Jak]

Leon sighed and replied "I've gotten pretty good if I can fool a fellow dragon child"

[Rynn]

Valene rolled her eyes, but smiled. "You're a lot smarter than I thought. Glad to have you around. Now, let's get to the village and find an inn. It's going to get dark soon."

They went to an inn and easily got a room for the night. One for the guys and another one for Valene.

Leon immediately went to sleep after getting Aldan in bed.

Aldan woke up not long after and stayed at the window.

[Rynn]

Valene fell asleep not long after the guys were in their room. After a few hours she woke up, startled from her dream. The dream took place from when she and Aldan were running from the soldiers, but this time they were so close, and they were almost caught. She woke up before then.

Valene shook her head. Not much of a nightmare, but it gave her a bit of a scare. She sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the wall in front of her. She marveled at how much had happened in such a short time. She wondered how long it was going to be like this.

[Jak]

Aldan knocked on Valene's door

[Rynn]

Valene jerked her head to the door, surprised by the knock. She got up and opened the door to find Aldan there. "Aldan? ...what's up?"

[Jak]

Aldan trembled terribly as he stuttered "I-I was awake and... w-well... I-I-I just wanted to see if you were alright"

[Rynn]

Valene blinked, then gave Aldan a reassuring smile. "I'm ok. Just a dream. Thanks for checking up on me." She then gave a worried look. "But, are you alright? You're stuttering."

[Jak]

"N-n-never left home before" Aldan replied "My mother always told me how outside was unsafe, a sure death"

[Rynn]

Valene blinked. "Well, I don't think it's a sure death. And we made it this far haven't we? I'm sure you'll get used to being outside." She smiled at him. "Don't worry. If we can get a break, you can really see the good parts of the outside world."

[Jak]

"C-can I stay with you?" Aldan asked "Leon can handle himself without revealing his... blood, but you and me... I-I don't want to leave you"

[Rynn]

Valene felt herself blush a little, but she wasn't sure why. She was glad the source of light was the window in her room, and her back was against it. She didn't want to be seen blushing. "Uh-hm... sure. I'd be glad to have a friend like you around."

[Jak]

Aldan slowly entered the room, but was quick to shut the door.

[Rynn]

Valene chuckled. "Still nervous about Leon, even after knowing he's just pretending?"

[Jak]

"He... scares me," Aldan admitted "he says it's an act but... there's something in his eyes..."

[Rynn]

"Yea, I can't blame you." She sat on her bed. "Well... let's get off topics that scare us, eh?" She grinned as she leaned back on her arms. "So... any ideas of more cheery topics?"

[Jak]

Aldan went to the window. Looking at the sky he began to sing a lullaby

[Rynn]

Valene stared at Aldan. With the moonlight shining on him, he just looked so angelic. He was easily scared, but very mature. Not like the other guys from her village. She sat forward, her arms resting on her knees. "That... was beautiful. Did you make up that song yourself?"

[Jak]

Aldan shook his head and replied "no. My mother used to sing this to me. Apparently, my father used to sing this for her as well"

[Rynn]

"Wow... sweet. That's really sweet." Valene looked passed Aldan outside the window. "You have a wonderful voice too."

[Jak]

Aldan blushed a bright red and stuttered "w-well, for the longest time it was the only voice I heard when the children weren't around so... I guess I practiced a lot"

[Rynn]

Valene walked over to the window to stand beside Aldan. "What a shame... that no one was able to get to hear your voice." She looked at him and smiled. "You're just keep surprising me. You coming to my door, injured but having the strength to get there. When you broke open that cage. And now a lovely singing voice. You're really cool."
