[Jak]

Aldan chuckled and scratched the back of his head. He didn't know how to respond. He said softly "w-well, I just... wanted to live"

[Rynn]

"Well, you're doing a great job at it. You're pretty amazing." She shrugged. "Unlike me."

[Jak]

"What do you mean? You burned down four lions!"

[Rynn]

She laughed. "Oh yea, forgot about that. I was actually surprised how much fire I gave. It wasn't huge, but it was more than I had ever done before. Probably because I was freaking out. I don't think I could do that normally on my own."

[Jak]

Aldan smiled at Valene and said "you have more talent than you give yourself credit for"

[Rynn]

Valene gave a half smile. "Eh, I'm not sure if I have much talent outside the blacksmith shop."

[Jak]

"I believe you do"

[Rynn]

Valene blushed, and she wasn't sure what to do. She didn't want to turn away, but she didn't like him seeing her blush.

Sadly, the mood ended when she noticed something outside. Her smile disappeared. "...I think I see one of the soldiers..."

Aldan grabbed Valene and pulled her away from the window. He ducked under it and dared to look outside.

[Rynn]

Valene lifted her head to see out the window. They were the soldiers from before, back when they first chased Aldan. There were two of them, but more were sure to come. They didn't seem to be in a rush, so she guessed they might just be looking around, not completely set on their whereabouts. "We have to wake up Leon and get out of here."

[Jak]

Aldan nodded and crawled for the door

[Rynn]

Valene crawled also, grabbing her bag on the way. When they got to Leon's room, she pulled out a hammer. Will gave me a hammer? Really? She held the hammer part and poked Leon with the handle. She wasn't sure if Leon would put on his crazy act by accident or not, but she didn't want to risk it.

[Jak]

Leon shot up with a have-asleep "wazzilooki? Huh? Oh... you..."

[Rynn]

"We have to get out of here," Valene whispered. "There are soldiers here. They were chasing Aldan before. Let's go."

[Jak]

"I could chase some of them off" Leon said as he rubbed his sleepy eyes and walked to a window

[Rynn]

Valene placed her hands on her hips. "I don't know... We're in a village. I'm not sure if the people would be crazy about it..."

[Jak]

Leon jumped out the window and cackled "don't care!!!!"

Aldan looked like he was gonna have a heart attack from the shock

[Rynn]

Valene grabbed Aldan's arm. "I don't know how you feel about this, but we are going to have to jump through a window, more towards the back. We can't go through the front door." She got the cloak on her shoulders, and grabbing Aldan's hand she lead him to a window.

[Jak]

Aldan allowed himself to be lead, contemplating if his wings could shield Valene from the glass

[Rynn]

Valene kicked the glass, shattering it, then turned to Aldan. "When I say jump, we jump! One... two... jump!" Valene jumped out the window.

[Jak]

Aldan jumped after Valene. After they hit the ground he looked around and whispered "where to now? And what about Leon?"

[Rynn]

"He was able to track us when he was chasing us when we first met. I'm sure we'll meet up again." Still holding Aldan's hand, she lead him through the ally ways and behind buildings. They had to get to the forest quickly. There they can hide in the shadows at least.

[Rifter]

Kal crouched carefully behind the roof point on one of the town's taller buildings, "Why now?" He breathed as he looked back at his right wing, the webbing pierced in several places and the 'fingers' were bent a little awkwardly, he knew that this was going to take a while to heal. He growled, he was grounded for now. He figured he could run if things got hairy, but there was something about that that did not appeal to him. Going to the side of the building, he grabbed the edge and swung himself off and down, using his remaining good wing to soften his landing.

Once on the ground, he tucked his wings under his cloak tightly. Running would have to do. Even though he hated it. Brushing by the guards, he was suddenly stopped by one grabbing on him, "What're you doing out so late?"

Crap. He thought to himself. Better late than never.

Suddenly, he burst his good wing out from under his cloak, whacking the guard in the face. The force was enough to get the guard to release him, immediately the cry went up, "DRAGON CHILD!"

Crap. He drew his sword, at this point he knew he needed help.

[Rynn]

Valene hear someone shout "DRAGON CHILD!"

"Oh crap. They know we're here." Though... how did they see us?

[Jak]

"Oh no, LEON!" Aldan hissed as he ran back. He hated Leon, but he didn't want the soldiers to have him
