Kathrine and Kyo

[Jak]

Kathrine stayed close, but Kyo instinctively snuggled close to the one he trusted most. Plus, Jacob wasn't on his injured side.

[Rifter]

Jacob smiled as he patted Kyo's head. What a day, he thought to himself.

[Jak]

Kyo whimpered a bit, his arm and knee still hurting, but he shut his eyes tightly and tried to focus on the warmth.

[Rifter]

((Time skip?))

Looking up at Kathrine, "Sleep well, Kathrine." A few moments later, he was asleep.

[Jak]

((Ok))

"Sleep well, Jacob" Kathrine replied

[Rifter]

The Next Morning...

Jacob awoke before the others and his body hurt. He didn't dare move in case he startled Kyo.

[Jak]

Kyo was next to wake up. His movements were very stiff. He tested his knee, bending and stretching it, and it seemed better. Though his arm was a different story. He tried to bend it, but pain shot up his arm. He gasped "ack!" and shivered as he cradled his injured arm.

[Rifter]

"Kyo?" Jacob looked down at him, "Still hurting, bud?"

[Jak]

Kyo looked up at Jaack with a pout that only a young child could do

[Rifter]

Jacob petted Kyo for a moment, "It'll heal. Don't worry."

[Jak]

Kyo got to his feet, stumbling a bit due to his knee buckling for a moment. He looked over at the sleeping one and asked Jaack "good?"

[Rifter]

Jacob nodded, "Good."

[Jak]

Kathrine yawned and asked sleepily "what's good?"

[Rifter]

"You." He said simply. "He's just making sure that I'm fine with you being here."

[Jak]

Kathrine chuckled and said "you'd think he was your little brother or something"

Kyo looked confused, then faced Jaack and asked "brr... bro... bro-ser"

[Rifter]

Jacob smiled and slowly stood up, stretching, "Well. I think we've lollygagged around enough. We had better find your brother, shouldn't we?"

From his pocket, he took a cartridge of bullets and held it out to her, "It's dangerous to go alone. Take this and stick with us. We'll find him."

[Jak]

((I lol'd when I read 'It'd dangerous to go alone, take this' XD))

Kathrine loaded her pistol as she stood up. She looked over at Kyo and asked "how's your knee? Are you okay to move?" Kyo nodded and moved to the door. He turned to face Jaack. Until they needed a safe place to go Kyo would follow Jaack.

[Rifter]

((That's what I was aiming for.))

"Our best bet would be to find somewhere safe with a short-wave radio and supplies. Hopefully there's someone out there listening."

[Jak]

Kyo thought for a moment. He pulled a map out of a tall plant vase and lay it on the floor. He scanned it for a few seconds before pointing to an old military base, specifically the Communication Bunker. Kyo then looked worried. He took the pictures of infected and placed four specific pictures around the bunker: Spitter, Smoker, Tank, and Witch.

Kathrine swallowed hard and stuttered "I-I think he's trying to tell us what surrounds the bunker... but what's so special about the bunker?"

((Kyo has made a Safe Room in the bunker))

[Rifter]

"Not entirely sure, but if I had to hazard a guess, I would think that that bunker is a safe spot from all those walkers out there. Though how..." Jacob turned look at Kyo as he swung his backpack onto his back, "Kyo, did you make these rooms?"

[Jak]

Kyo nodded, then presented his hands. His hands were covered in small scars, ones usually associated with a miss-placed nail.

[Rifter]

Jacob grinned and nodded as he finished strapping on his pack, picking up his rifle from where it lay, he strapped it to the back of his shoulder, "We had better get a move on." He quickly scooped up the map, folded it and tucked it away in his pocket.

[Jak]

Kyo nodded and, unsure if Kathrine knew to follow, took her by the wrist lightly. Kyo didn't let go until they were on the street. He froze for a moment, listening for anything that meant infected were near, but heard nothing. Kathrine held the pistol tightly in her hand, nervous about being in the open.

[Rifter]

Jacob took out the map and shook it out, glancing over it, he tried to figure out where they were.

Looking over the map, "Huh..." He muttered. "Okay," He folded the map back with one hand and slipped into his pocket, "We're about two kilometers from the base, that way." He pointed off to the east. "Let's be careful. God knows what's between us and that base. Let's go." He began walking.

[Jak]

Suddenly, Kyo started snarling. He wasn't looking at Jaack or Kat-rin, he was just... snarling.

Kathrine turned to Jacob and asked worriedly "h-has he done this b-before?"
