Kyo

[Jak]

Kyo looked very confused, then pointed at the mattress and said "Honk-shoo"

((Honk-shoo is his word for sleep XD))

[Rifter]

Jacob struggled to comprehend what the hunter was saying, then it hit him: sleep. Still wary of the hunter, he shook his head.

((Jacob doesn't necessarily sleep anymore. He's learned to 'sleep' in odd positions (sitting up) and to prevent himself from slipping into deep sleep))

[Jak]

Kyo looked confused. Jaack doesn't sleep? Well, Kyo still slept. He curled as tightly as he could under a window and said tiredly "K-yo... honk-shoo"

[Rifter]

Jacob shifted for a moment to move his backpack into a more comfortable position. He looked over at the hunter, the corner of his mouth twitched in a sort-of smile, For a hunter, he's actually kinda cute. He thought to himself, fears beginning to ebb away, if the hunter wanted to do anything to him, he would've by now.

"Kyo..." He muttered as the hunter spoke, "Is that..? Perhaps."

Thinking back to the injuries that 'Kyo' had sustained earlier, he resolved to help the hunter.

Perhaps it was possible that some zombies retained their humanity... He thought to himself.

[Jak]

Kyo shot up and froze as the sounds of a Charger came through the window. Kyo could tell it wasn't nearby, at least it wasn't meant for them, but it still unsettled the Hunter. Placing a hand over his bruise he glared out the window. Why? Because what else could he glare at?

[Rifter]

Jacob jumped at the sound, but prevented himself from automatically reacting, Calm down, calm down, you're safe....

[Jak]

Kyo started growling as gunshots filled the otherwise silent air. He looked over at Jaack. It was his call now, Kyo was just a guide

[Rifter]

Jacob got up and walked over to the window, trying to see if he could see anything. Gunshots meant people, but he was wary, he had run to people who had gone 'feral' in some way.

Looking at Kyo he decided to take the chance, "I'll be back, Kyo." He moved towards the door, backpack still strapped to him, he drew his rifle and made sure that his pistols were close at hand.

[Jak]

Kyo wanted to go, but he had heard 'I'll be back' before. That meant 'wait'. So he nodded and stayed by the door.

Kathrine ran out of the Charger's path squeezed between two buildings. The Charger just kept ramming itself into the buildings, trying to reach Kathrine.

[Rifter]

Jacob ran out of the building and stopped as a Charger flew by him, "Waa!" He yelped as he bounced back. Automatically, he drew the rifle, aimed and fired off five shots, two of which missed, but the other three hit the thing, two in each shoulder blade and the last in the base of it's head.

It was still alive.

The Charger spun around and seemed to glare at him, then it charged at him. Jacob noted that it's gait was shallower, it was almost dead.

Dancing out of the way, he took one more shot at the Charger, the bullet sheared through the Charger's head. The body flew forwards as it's legs buckled, sending it into a wall.

Holstering the rifle, "Chaka." He spat.

[Jak]

Kathrine squeezed out and looked at the newcomer. "Chaka?" she asked.

[Rifter]

"Charger. Long story."

Walking back towards the building that Kyo was in and stopping by the door, "Name's Jacob. Your's?"

[Jak]

She replied "I'm... Kathrine." Hesitantly she asked "have you... seen an albino, roughly my age, around here?"

[Rifter]

Jacobs shook his head, "No, I don't think I have."

[Jak]

"Oh.... I see..." Kathrine replied sadly. She checked her pistol: no bullets. Kathrine fell to her knees in defeat. She would never see Adrian again.

[Rifter]

After a moment of thinking, "Katherine? Would you like to join with me to find this albino of yours? I've got plenty of ammo on me that'll fit your pistol there. Besides, safety in numbers and all that."

[Jak]

Kathrine thought for a moment before nodding and saying "my brother... the albino is my brother..."

[Rifter]

Jacob nodded, "We'll keep an eye out, alright?"

[Jak]

Kathrine nodded again. Looking around she asked "where to now?"

[Rifter]

Jacob nodded to the building he was in front of, "I have a friend up there. But before we go up, I should warn you that he's...different." No shit. He thought to himself.

"Come on." He said as he walked through the door.

[Jak]

"Different?" Kathrine asked as they walked

[Rifter]

((Yeah, I know.))

"Ehhhh. I think it'll be better if you see for yourself." He walked up to the door, "I'll go in first, wait for my go ahead." From his pocket, he pulled a wrapper of sweet bread and gave it to Katherine, "This is his favourite. He won't go nuts when you come in. Whatever you do, don't make any sudden movements."

Stepping into the room, "Kyo?"

[Jak]

Kyo glomped Jaack and nuzzled under his chin. He had been alone for so long he had forgotten how lonely it could be.

Kathrine was frozen.

[Rifter]

Jacob laughed as he rubbed Kyo's head, "Missed you too, Kyo." Turning his head, "Come on in Katherine."

[Jak]

Kathrine stuttered "i-i-it's a hunter! Shouldn't we run or shoot?!" Kyo got off of Jaack and looked at the new prey. It didn't look like Jaack, but Jaack wasn't attacking or nervous so he assumed it was fine.

Kyo suddenly flinched. He leapt over the new prey and shoved her into the room as a Witch's sobbing could be heard coming down the hall.
