[Rifter]

Walking to the door, Zaerath stopped, looking back, hand on the door, "If you don't mind me asking, what are those seeds?"

[Jak]

"They are the seeds of a flower that grows around the base of The Celestial Tree in Anuenue. They say that, due to their strong mystical properties, only a certain family can ingest them. Lier's health becomes frail if he goes to long without consuming at least two seeds"

[Rifter]

Zaerath nodded, "I should head off after those two. Take care of yourself Doc." With that, he ran after Patch and Lier.

[Jak]

Lier saw Zaerath coming and asked "ready?"

[Rifter]

Drawing even with Lier, "Yeah, it's not like I have much in the way of coin."

[Jak]

Lier nodded then headed for the Diadem Express Liner in Pherkad, luckily the liner was free. From the air they could see Sheliak, the Castle Town, made entirely of cloud covered stone. And in Nashira, the only place not covered in cloud, Imperial Soldiers, lead by none other than the feared Ayme with Torin as her second, ransacked homes.

The dock for travelers was on the roof of the towns food storage building, out of the way and out of site to the soldiers. Torin, noticing a mindeer fly above him, shot a rebeling citizen in the leg, just gazing his calf, and followed the ship alone.

((Torin will be waiting for the group at the exit of the building. There is a short spiraling staircase, the building isn't very high, so the group will probably see Torin once they go in))

[Rifter]

Zaerath left the mindeer and stretched, "At least for once I didn't have to curl up somewhere in there to hide to travel..." He muttered. He didn't forget the fact that the Imperials were ransacking.

[Jak]

((The Diadem Express Liner isn't a mindeer, it's an aquar. They're two different sky fish))

Patch ran inside the storage building, followed closely by Lier. He stopped at the top of the stairs and peered over the railing. Seeing Torin, Patch gasped "You!"

Torin looked up and said "Ah, I see you made it back. Patch, was it? I apologize for Ayme's... aggressive approach. I will attempt to keep casualties to a minimum" Patch shook his head and replied "Yeah, right! Like I'm gonna believe you, you Imperial bastard!"

Torin bowed his head slightly and replied "I understand that my blood offends you, but there isn't much I can do about it" Patch charged at Torin, ready to attack, but Torin easily dodged and used the butt of his gun to strike Patch in the head with just enough strength to knock him out. Torin bowed again and said as he left "I'm sorry, but we all have tasks we must endure"

[Rifter]

Zaerath ran to the top of the stairs just in time to see Torin's back recede, he growled deep in his throat, "I'm really starting to hate that guy." Running down the stairs, he picked Patch up and slung him across the back of his neck. Turning to Lier, "Come on, we need to figure out where whatever they're looking for is and stop them from getting it." He had the distinct feeling that what the Alfards were looking for was the End Magnus.

[Jak]

Lier nodded, but then said "without Patch... we know nothing of Diadem"

[Rifter]

Zaerath nodded, "Granted." He made sure to keep his voice down, "My guess would be that the End Magnus, assuming that's what they're looking for, would be somewhere either heavily guarded or somewhere where no one would think to look. I know a little bit of Diadem as I have been here before, but like you said, without a native, we're sunk. So...It'd be best if we found someone that can wake Patch up or we find somewhere to hunker down and wait until Patch comes to of his own accord."

[Jak]

"Stay here. Wait for Patch" Lier suggested

[Rifter]

"Let's at least find somewhere out of the soldier's ways."

[Jak]

"you see soldiers here? they've already been this way" Lier explained

[Rifter]

"There is a chance that some of them might come back this way."

[Jak]

"Doubtful. Alfards too focused on elsewhere"

[Rifter]

"Granted." Setting Patch down so that he sat against the nearby wall, Zaerath sighed, "Any chance you might have a whiff of this card's Guardian?"

[Jak]

Lier sniffed the air and reported "Faint. Not this town"

[Rifter]

Breathing out deeply, "Good, that means we have time."

[Jak]

Lier checked Patch and noted "minimal damage. Perhaps slight bruising"

[Rifter]

Zaerath nodded, "Well... At least that Imperial was kind enough not to do serious damage."

[Jak]

"Odd"

[Rifter]

"Quite. Especially considering what they and their...Ayme were doing."

[Jak]

"Ayme is the Alfardian norm. Odd her second in command would disobey and allow survivors"

[Rifter]

Zaerath sighed, "The question is, why?"
