Using the hilt of his blade, Lier swung himself onto The Guardian's head and shoved the arrow deeper while forcing his free hand through The Guardian's other eye(eeeeewwwww). If it wasn't dead... well... let's just hope it's dead

Zaearath leaped up and revealed his own wings, landing on the Guardian's head as it thrashed around, he spun his weapon around his hand for a split second before driving one of the sword ends through the Guardian's eye socket, an inch and a half from Lier's hand. Putting his weight into it, he finally felt it gave way, breaking through into the Guardian's brain and piercing it. Finally, the great beast fell silent and fell backwards into the pool. Zaerath dived off, using his wings to ease his descent with the words, "Off. Now."

Lier back flipped off moments before it hit the ground, his wings having disappeared sometime during the fight. He looked at...

"name?"

"Zaerath Sola."

Lier nodded, then turned his head to The Guardian. Its voice rang in their ears

"And thus, the gate to Ar has been opened"

A card floated from the corpse, glowing a brilliant golden hue. Lier stepped slowly forward and took the card. At his touch the card began to glow brighter, birds of light flew out of the card, and the very world around them seemed to tremble.

An airship, the famous Goldoba, flew above them and three high ranking officers leapt to the ground. Whilst in his trance-like state Lier handed the card to the officers and stood stock still. One officer, a young man with black and red hair, bowed respectfully to Zaerath and said "I apologize for your unfortunate involvement"

And with that they left.

Lier held his head and groaned in confusion.

Zaerath just watched the scene, his body paralyzed by the force that resonated through the air as Lier touched the card, his mind however remained unencumbered.

By the time that the officers had left, did he regain use of his physical capacities. Violently shaking his head, "What the heck was that about?"

((Should Zaerath have some sort of inkling about the End Maguses?))

Lier walked back to Zaerath and looked confused. He had no idea what just happened.

Shaking his head, still trying to get rid of the cobwebs, "Is the smell still around?"

Lier sniffed the air, then sniffed himself, then replied "gone. Now I reek" -_-

Zaerath chuckled, "Come on, let's head back to the village." Loosening his grip on his Guardian Weapon, it melted away into thin air.

Lier nodded. The fell to one knee, holding his chest.

Immediately dropping to one knee, he placed his hands on Lier's shoulders, "Lier? You alright?"

Lier nodded, though his face was pale. He smiled reassuringly and replied "daily occurrence"

Helping him to his feet, "Will you be okay to walk, or do you want me to help?"

Lier fished in one of his pockets and retrieved a small burlap sack, seemingly empty. Lier looked a bit disappointed, but there was one thing left inside. He took a seed from the sack and popped it into his mouth. Putting the sack back into his pocket he said "no need" and began walking back to the village

Zaerath rolled his eyes as he jogged to catch up, "That doc warned me he was strange..." He muttered.

Back at Larikush's house, Lier explained what happened in the forest in his... unique way. Larikush understood and said "so, the scent that bothered you was a monster" Lier nodded "then you found a golden card?" Lier nodded "and when you touched it you blacked out" Lier nodded.

Larikush sighed and said "then it really is... The End Magnus"

Zaerath sat against the wall near a window, arms crossed and looking out, he dimly recognized the name 'End Magnus' as being spoken by someone he had passed back in Mira, shaking it off, "Um...I think that monster was actually that card's guardian." Therasa had spoken to him about it on the way back, speculations mostly, sighing, "Lier might've blacked out, but I didn't, though I was paralyzed. Three Alfard officers dropped down from their airship...the...Goldoba, I think? Lier just handed them the card and they left. Though one of them did speak, one with red and black hair, he said, 'I apologize for your unfortunate involvement.' I get the sense that this doesn't bode very well."

"Alfard?! Oh dear. Is Geldoblame planning to..." Larikush became very serious as he said "listen carefully: The End Magnus are magic cards that were used years ago to seal away an evil god. This tale has been forgotten through the ages, but from what little information I could gather this evil god Malpercio tried to destroy the world. Geldoblame must want to take Malpercio's power for himself"

Standing up straight, he looked carefully at Larikush, mouth agape slightly, "I hope you're being serious old man."

"I'm well aware of that." Zaerath said, somewhat indignantly, "Well... I suppose, you'll be wanting us to do something about Geldoblame gathering the Magnuses?"

((lol the plural of 'Magnus' is 'Magnus'. Magnuses is silly XD))

Larikush motioned to someone hiding behind a cabinet and a small boy crawled out. "This is Patch, a young boy from Diadem. He says that Imperial Soldiers are searching the port town for something. Perhaps it is another End Magnus"

Patch clenched his fists and added desperately "even if it's not an End Magnus, please, you gotta help Diadem! It's the only thing I got left in the whole world!"

At Therasa's unneeded poking, Zaerath nodded, "I'll do it. I've never liked those Alfard blokes anyway."

Larikush handed Lier a new burlap sack, as small as the previous sack, and said "I had a feeling you needed some more, you never get this pale when you have seeds left. And you'll need a good supply if you're going to help them" Lier looked confused and sad. but nonetheless said "meet at the village entrance when ready." Patch grabbed Lier's hand and started pulling him away, repeating how urgent it was that they got moving.

Larikush shook his head with a smile, then sighed "I hope my supplier in Anuenue finds more seeds... those are the last I had..."
